After sitting in Boston all week, we finally played some golf. I won a spot in the Senior US Open in Hutchinson, KS, 3-9 July.
I shot a 69 at the Bay Club at Mattapoisett, MA and won the final spot on the fourth hole of sudden death over Jack Ferenz. The playoff was four players for two spots, and Kirk Hanefield won the other spot. I really played well under pressure. Was even par with four to go and knew that I needed to make some birdies and did. And then played the four playoff holes real solidly. I think I have finally turned a corner. Am headed back to Idaho, and then will play Long Island, Kansas City and the Open the next three weeks. Will see if I can build on this day.
Heading to Tamarack on Thursday to play, and will give you a report on the new course. Should be fun.
Last week in Boston was an adventure. The Tour Charter got into Boston at 2am Sunday night/Monday morning, we played a pro am on Monday and then it started raining and never stopped. Didn't hit a shot in the tournament. The tournament was cancelled/postponed due to the course being flooded. They may reschedule and they may not.

Scott,
Glad the corner is turned. Sorry you got rained out in Boston. It is a great place in its own way; but you did get to play Bay Club. And did well! It is very, very nice you qualified for the Senior's Open. I know you will do well there, and on out for the rest of the season.
My wife and I both carry Adams clubs in our bags in Florida. Wish I had them here in Kentucky. Curtis and I would have won our club's member-guest if I had had my Adams instead of my Callaways!
Best of luck, Scott.
