argus interview

-Have you set a personal goal for the course?

this week, i would really like to just relax and play each shot as well as i possibly can.  and to not let ANYTHING bother me. get in contention and have a good finish.

The season?

i would like to continue to improve my golf game, get in contention and see how my game reacts to that pressure and learn from every experience, whether good or bad.
-What do you feel will be your strength on this particular course?

i'm putting the ball exceptionally well right now and love the greens.

Weakness?

i don't have as much experience chipping the ball out of the bermuda grass rough.  it is hard to read the lies, and predict how the ball will react.  i'm going to practice that a lot the next couple of days.
-Are you nervous?

not really, a little anxious to see how i'm going to perform.  i've not played competitively since the end of november, so i'll be a little edgy on the first tee friday.  but all in all, i'm confident and i'm ready to go.
-Does this seem any different than the other tournaments you have golfed?

no, i've played in 13 of these tournaments over the last 4 years, and they are all run the same, so i'm comfortable with the schedule.
-Tell me about your PGA experience so far.

i've really improved my game over the last 4 years, and the level of competition has certainly motivated me to work to continue toimprove.  i am still getting better, and am looking forward to having a chance to compete at this level every week.
-How long have you been in Hawaii?

my wife, laurie and i have been here since sunday.  steve brown, the golf nut of the year www.golfnuts.com is caddying for me, he is a real good friend, and will help me stay relaxed.
-Where do you plan to golf next?

the tour goes to florida in middle of february.
