US Senior Open Qualifier

Played in the US Senior Open qualifier at Las Vegas National, on 28 June. The tournament is July 28 thru 1 August at Sahalee CC in Seattle WA.

I shot 71, there were two 70's (Mark Johnson and Pat Laverty, both Champion's Tour players) that got the automatic spots. I birdied the first hole of the playoff to get the first alternate spot. My play was somewhat spotty from tee to green, especially in the in middle of the round. I started strong, 2 under after 4, and then birdied the last hole for even par. Will take the good of the round and run with it........

Alternates in this event many times will get into the tournament, but it will normally be a case of knowing the week of the event. So, I will be in Seattle the last week of July and hope to get in.
